Hi everybody. The Honors Committee wants to share the basic instructions you’ll get with the exam. I’m pasting them below.

 USE A PAGE BREAK TO SEPARATE YOUR RESPONSE TO EACH SECTION OF THE EXAM FROM THE OTHER SECTIONS

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

In answering the three parts of the examination below, choose a wide range of texts to discuss. The strongest exams will be those that demonstrate an ability to discuss literary works from various historical periods and national and transnational traditions.

In each part of the exam, there are three questions posed, but you should answer only one of these. Take some time to choose the question that you think will allow you to write the strongest essay. And take some time, before you begin writing, to think your answer through and to organize your thoughts.
